Brady

Your donation directly funds the care for this furry cutie-pie and we thank you for being so generous!

Brady was born on November 2, 2019, and was adopted through another foster in the rescue group I was working with at the time. Sadly, about a year later, he was returned. His adopter said he had torn up the corners of the carpet, spent most of his time hiding, and that her husband had reached the end of his patience. (Interestingly, Brady has never been destructive here.)
When Brady came to Cat Haven Sanctuary, he was a nervous wreck. He had deep trust issues and flinched every time I reached out to pet him. It took nearly six months before he finally began to relax and realize he was safe.
Even today, Brady is extremely shy around new people, and because of that, he never showed well to potential adopters. But that's okay. He's comfortable here, surrounded by familiar faces, and this is where he'll spend the rest of his life.
Watching Brady learn to trust again has been one of the most rewarding parts of his journey. These days, he seeks me out for head scratches and back rubs and quietly asks for affection in his own gentle way. He's never been much of a cuddler, but after all these years, he'll allow me one good hug and squeeze before he's ready to move on. For Brady, that's his way of saying, "I trust you." And to me, that's worth more than words.
